Have you ever highlighted a large range in Excel, gotten distracted, then tried to resume what you were doing only to second guess whether you’d properly selected the entire range of cells needed for the task you’re about to perform? Zooming the worksheet down to a smaller percentage is still a great help for this, especially when you need to select a large range of cells that can span more than one page.
However, if you’re picky and just don’t feel like zooming that day, here’s a quick and nifty trick to making sure you’ve selected the range of cells you want in Excel! You can do a spot check of all 4 corners of the selected range! Simply highlight the range, then, to confirm your selection, use the Ctrl+. (period) key combination to jump from corner…to corner…to corner…to corner!
